The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) updated and dropped its recommendation for travelers to quarantine for 14 days after returning from an out-of-state or overseas travel.
Traveling increases your chances of contracting and spreading the virus. The CDC recommends staying at home to protect against COVID-19.
If you do need to travel, here are important things to keep in mind:
- Don’t travel if you are sick.
- If you must travel, be mindful of any state or local restrictions.
- Wear a mask and stay six feet away from others during your travel.
- For more information and travel guidance, check with the state or local health department along your route and your planned destination.
