Chances are that we have heard of different drugs, food, and methods that claim to prevent, treat or cure COVID-19. Below are some COVID-19 myths that you should be aware of:

  1. Vaccines for COVID-19
There are currently no vaccines to prevent COVID-19. While scientists and researchers are still studying treatments and vaccines for COVID-19, none of them have been fully tested for safety and effectiveness.
  2. Antibiotics
    Antibiotics kill bacteria, not viruses.
  3. High and Low Temperatures
Exposure to the sun or high temperatures doesn’t prevent COVID-19. Same thing with low or cold temperatures. Temperatures – whether high or low – do not kill the COVID-19 virus.
  4. Disinfectants
Disinfectants can help kill germs but do not use disinfectants on or in your body! They can irritate your skin and be toxic if swallowed or injected into your body.
